Flying through traffic on an electric bike is a tripe joy: One you're moving fast and pedaling modestly, even uphill. Two, you're saving money on expensive cab fares and avoiding subways, buses, and public transportation (always a good thing in cold and flu season). And three, it's so fast you feel like you're cheating, by zooming along past cars, taxis, and buses all stuck in gridlock.

We have two recommendations for you: Wear a helmet, and choose a lightweight bike. One we love is made by Story Bikes. This maker of high-quality electric bikes (with seats and handles made from vegan leather) is a great gift to your significant other or yourself.

You can choose from the Electric Road Bike or the more cruiser-style Step-Through Electric Bike—both come in five different colors. There's a good reason that Oprah named Story Bikes to her "Favorite Things" list: For each bike sold, the company donates a bike to a child in Africa – which enables their commute to school and back. Califia's Toasted Coconut Almondmilk Blend

After years of searching long and hard for a tried-and-true go-to plant-based milk, I've found a holy grail in Califia Farms' Toasted Coconut Almondmilk Blend. Rich and unbelievably creamy, this blend boasts the roundness of coconut milk without having too overt of a flavor.

My favorite accompaniment to my cold brew, this milk is also stellar in baked goods, oatmeals, and granolas thanks to the richness and hint of toasted coconut. Free of carrageenan, Califia's product also flaunts that it contains 40 percent more calcium than dairy milk.

You can purchase Califia Farms' plant-based milks and creamers at your local Whole Foods Market or use the brand's store locator to find a retailer near you.

The smell is fresh, and clean, and has a scent of fresh jasmine and the ingredients also include rapeseed seed oil, sesame oil, and pumpkin seed oil.

Hippeas Sriracha Sunshine

Cheetos used to be my guilty pleasure but after I went plant-based I struggled to find another snack that was just as good but was healthier and vegan. That's when I found Hippeas. Hippeas is an organic, vegan and gluten-free chickpea snack that has four grams of protein and three grams of fiber per serving. These crunchy puffs are better than Cheetos and I can guarantee once you try them, you won't be able to put the bag down.

If you like a hint of heat, then I highly recommend the sriracha flavor. If you aren't a fan of sriracha, Hippeas also makes three other flavors including vegan white cheddar, nacho vibes and bohemian barbeque. You can also buy Hippeas in a variety pack if you're looking to try all the flavors. These puffs are perfect for the times when I'm craving a healthier and lighter snack in between meals. Once you try these puffs, you will wish you grabbed a couple of bags at the stores.

You can buy Hippeas online or in-stores at Target, Walmart and Whole Foods.
